Description:
Peter was just a little boy when he was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.
He was scared of having his blood checked and fearful of the insulin injections.
Peter thought about his special skills and developed several strategies he can use to cope with the injections and other challenges he will face.
These are strategies anyone can use, child or adult, who is in a similar situation and needs to find an effective way to cope.
This book is dedicated to my very special nephew who was
diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when he was just five-years-old.
This book is also dedicated to every child who is learning to
manage a lifelong disease and the families who love them, who fight a battle against an invisible enemy for them, and who hold a child’s pain in their hearts in the hopes that they can carry some of the burden their little bodies bear.
